Nikki Peterson

Change, Loss and Grief Coach

Nikki has spent over 25 years championing people development in a range of sectors. She is passionate about supporting individuals so they can fully unlock their potential and thrive in all aspects of their lives to create a life they love.

Nikki works mostly with people going through a period of change, loss or grief. Alongside Nikki's coaching work, she is the Charity Director for SLOW Group, an award winning charity that supports bereaved parents and siblings after the death of a child in the family. As a bereaved parent herself, Nikki knows first hand, the devastating pain that comes following the death of a child. In 2006, Nikki's first daughter, Rosie, died when she was just 6 days old and without doubt this has shaped the work Nikki does today.

Prior to joining SLOW, Nikki was the In-House coach for Psychologies Magazine, the UK’s leading mental wellbeing and mindfulness magazine. Working at Psychologies Magazine is where Nikki found her love for coaching, she spent 5 years as the Partnerships Director before achieving her ICF accredited coach training with Barefoot Coaching, a market leading coach training provider.

Nikki’s clients describe her coach approach as an effective combination of encouraging support and honest challenge. Before becoming a coach, Nikki worked in leadership roles in Media and IT recruitment, when she turned 30, she took a year out of the corporate world to run a luxury chalet in Verbier with her husband so they could take full advantage of some of the best slopes in the Alps. Since starting a family, Nikki has traded in her snowboard for a paddle board and you’ll often find her on the water in downtime.
